After creating their logo and branding program, we designed and illustrated over a hundred labels for our family at Axe & Arrow brewery in Glassboro, New Jersey. Focusing information into a single panel allows the full-color, full-bleed graphics to become the primary brand identifier, and a robust typographical approach allows maximum elasticity and heavy lifting.

Dr. Brewlittle’s Beer Co. of Maple Shade, New Jersey had an existing logo and a few graphics when they approached us to revitalize their can labels for expanded distribution. With an animal theme already baked into the brand, we tapped into the owner’s personal style for extra inspiration—Hawaiian shirts. We brought everything together in an art nouveau-inspired package that allows for a surprising amount of flexibility in meeting the ever-changing tastes of the craft beer market.

Afterglow Brewing of Norfolk, Virginia had a logo and not much else. After years producing solely for taproom sales, the distribution dream grew and Afterglow sought us out to bring some magic to their cans. With a decidedly edgier attitude, we push the visuals for unforgettable impact. Not one to be outdone in the quirky category, the owner’s only requested running theme is that his likeness is included in each label; can you find them all?
