BROOKLYN 2014

A re-imagining of a piece I did ten years ago, slowly working through the individual images and integrating new ideas. It's really interesting and at times difficult to resolve old images into new thoughts that are connected, even if tenuously, through the drawing.

One of the more difficult areas. In the original, this spaceship is drawn as an 8-bit sprite. Obviously I'd like to draw slightly more than twelve lines to depict a spaceship, and resolving that with the original intent to update and not add anything destructively new has been a challenge. In the end I think I'm going to decide to give myself less rules to follow.

The new art has a decidedly darker tone
